Green & Black’s Ginger Bar

Alright, some more Green & Black’s. I don’t know why I’ve put these off for so damn long, but…I have. But I’ll review a few of them now, and I thought I’d start with the ginger bar.

This is a dark chocolate bar (60% cocoa solids) with crystallised ginger chucked into it seemingly at random. Everything in the bar is organic, it meets all the requirements to be advertised as an organic bar, and frankly…I don’t care.

What I care about is the taste, and fortunately this bar delivers the ginger on a big level. This is what the Montezuma’s bar should have been, there’s a strong ginger taste here, they call it inherently warm and I’m inclined to agree.

Personally it was a bit too strong for my liking, I’d never really had ginger before and I found out from this bar that I don’t really like it. I ate the bar, but I wouldn’t buy it again and found it to just be a slightly odd taste that I didn’t quite agree with.

If you are a ginger fan though, this could be right up your street, I recommend it over Montezuma’s version. Per bar this has 501 calories, 6.8g Protein, 53g Carbohydrates and 29.1g Fat.
