Marzipan Ritter Sport

Instead of going straight to the other Heaven bars, I saw this in a local Tesco and thought that after seeing just about everyone else review them and not me (because I’ve never bloody seen them anywhere!) I would finally get my chance.
From what I hear there are A LOT of Ritter Sport flavours, and ones that take my fancy more than Marzipan, but as mentioned in a Thorntons review, I am fond of the flavour and have no problems reviewing it. The Ritter Sport bar comes in a square form, with the back of the pack being almost all in German, though there is a bit of English.
The English is the ingredients, where it says that this is plain chocolate with a marzipan filling (44%) and has almonds (16%), sounds decent enough to me. The bar has 12 squares in, each filled with the marzipan.
And in the end the taste is pretty good. It’s very plain in that it does exactly what it said it would do. This is just ordinary marzipan in plain chocolate. The chocolate can hardly be tasted, but because it’s plain chocolate it isn’t too sweet and that suits this bar well.
Overall I did like this, I feel there are probably better Ritter Sport bars, but this is no nonsense really. If you like marzipan then there’s no reason you shouldn’t like this. Sadly there’s no nutritional information on the pack, I guess Germans don’t care about such things.

A square easter egg? That’s just wrong, just…wrong. Being square shaped means these look small, though they are fairly chunky.
