Thorntons Turkish Delight Bar

Getting sick of Thorntons yet? I know I’m not! This is one I had been looking forward to, as a huge fan of Turkish Delight. It’s billed as ‘Indulgent milk chocolate, finished with milk chocolate, with our Rose and Lemon flavoured Turkish Delight centre’.
Rose AND Lemon? That’s pretty awesome sounding, as most of the time companies go for one or the other, and 9 times out of 10, it’s rose flavour. For the uneducated, Turkish Delight is a jelly-like substance, it’s usually quite soft and can be flavoured in many ways. Rose is a soft, floral flavour that is the most popular.
I left this in the fridge and it wasn’t the best idea, the Turkish Delight centre was hard as a rock, and from what I could gather…it was rose flavour. I couldn’t detect any lemon there at all, the Turkish Delight was even the dark red colour that rose indicates.
It was a good bar though, the milk chocolate was all cracked around it which usually suggests it was of poor quality, and whilst the whole thing was quite sugary, it was a thoroughly enjoyable bar that I would have again, and recommend to Turkish Delight fans.
The bar has 172 calories, 0.9g Protein, 32.4g Carbohydrates (31.3g of which sugars) and 4.3g Fat (2.7g of which saturates).
