Thorntons Fudge Pieces Bar

Thorntons Fudge Pieces Bar

Now here’s something that looks excellent. The premise of this bar is a thin, milk chocolate slab with small squares of chocolate and vanilla fudge cubes chucked randomly into it.

I’m a huge fudge fan, and just loved the look of this bar. At 80g it makes it smaller than most block chocolate, but the fudge makes up for it. The bar has 24% total fudge, which is a decent amount, and the bar itself is fudge flavoured (something I didn’t notice until afterwards), so you’ve got to be a fudge fanatic to enjoy this I guess.

I had left this in the fridge which perhaps wasn’t the best idea. The bar took a lot of effort to snap off, sending fudge pieces flying everywhere. It was rock hard but quite pleasant. It tasted a bit too sugary for my liking, but the fudge flavour was quite strong, and mixed well with the chocolate flavour which was still there.

Overall, it’s a decent bar. Not great, but good. Thorntons do much better stuff though, so perhaps best not to bother with this. Per 100g (the bar is 80g) this bar has 526 calories, 5.8g Protein, 56.8g Carbohydrates and 30.5g Fat.
