Glico Peach Decorer Pocky

Coming in a large box, covered with hearts and with a ribbon theme on the top, this is Decorer-style Pocky from Glico of Japan. And they sum up this product on the front of the pack quite perfectly:
‘Just like a decoration cake on a stick!’ I really can’t argue with that, because the coating here is incredibly thick. It has an awesome rippled pattern to it as well, and with the stylish looking packets I’ve got to say this looks very tasty.
And that it is, it’s actually delicious. The Pocky is indeed very thick and the peach tastes quite authentic, much different to that of the Peach Aero or the Peach Kit Kat. It’s quite creamy and this is something I would definitely buy again and recommend to any Pocky lovers.
Each pack (there are 4 in the box, and each has 3 sticks inside) has 90 calories, 1g Protein, 9.9g Carbohydrates and 5.1g Fat.

I had no idea! I just checked my blog stats though and I’ve been getting an unusually high amount of hits recently, as well as a lot of people clicking to my site from this link:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/theguide/internet/story/0,,2230291,00.html
So I assume that’s the story. I would have thought they’d email me and let me know, now time to read because this is the first I’ve heard of it…

And after reading, I’m slightly depressed that they summed up my website in barely 2 lines:
The Chocolate Review thechocolatereview.net
Partial to Bournville Deeply Dark; less impressed by Fruit Salad Chewits.

can’t find the paper i’m afraid to scan to you but you found it online anyway. don’t be depressed, that’s just the style of The Guide which is the supplement it was in. I dunno if you read it, but the page it’s on is tiny and all the reviews have about one line each unless they’re the biggest two reviews. I think that line is supposed to be quick and witty in a sort of affectionate way - be proud, you’re in the Guardian! WHOO!

Ellie - Ah it’s ok, perhaps I’ll give them an email and see if I can get a copy sent to me, I don’t know how they operate but…worth a shot, I’m sad like that. And yeah that’s a good point, shouldn’t overlook the fact that my little site got a mention in The Guardian. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Alice - Danke schon, Merry Christmas to you too and I hope you have a great time.

i’m pretty sure they send back copies to people if they were missing a supplement in their paper, so there should be no problem getting a copy of The Guide supplement if you’ve been featured - i’ll double check the massive mound of newspapers downstairs later in case it hasn’t been flung out. if i find it, i’ll email you and would be happy to post it. any happy christmas again!(or Nollaig Shona!)
