A short review here because in the end, there wasn’t much to say about this bar. Wasabi, ginger, black sesame seeds and 55% cocoa solids dark chocolate. This is the Black pearl bar from Vosges.

I’ve never been a fan of ginger, though I am a big fan of wasabi. That doesn’t matter though, because this bar is all ginger. I literally could not taste any wasabi here, either in flavour or in spice, which is a shame considering that for me this was the main selling point of the bar (I’m sure others would disagree).

It reminds me a lot of the Montezuma’s ginger bar, though the black sesame seeds here add a slightly different texture, it’s hardly note worthy.

Overall I didn’t particularly like this, but ginger fans would love it. Definitely recommended to ginger lovers, then again at $7 per bar…maybe not…
