Reese’s Fast Break

Reese’s Fast Break

Milk chocolate, peanut butter, soft nougats, that can only mean one thing…it’s a Reese’s Fast Break! The idea was that it would be a fast break anyway, it didn’t turn out to be though.

I guess the marketing behind this is that it’s some sort of on-the-go bar, that you grab and eat as a snack, like…well a lot of chocolate actually, but there you go. The packaging is standard Reese’s, with the bright orange theme and ‘Fast Break’ made to look like it’s in a hurry or something.

I said earlier it wasn’t a fast break though for me. And why was that? Because I left it in the fridge for 2 days before eating it. D’oh! The nougat and peanut butter were rock hard, though it showed just how big this bar is.

In terms of size it’s ordinary, but it has a monstrous amount of peanut butter and nougat in it, and more PB than nougat, which is a-ok with me. The peanut butter tastes like regular Reese’s stuff, and the nougat adds a tough, chewy consistency without any taste. The bar has a good balance between salty and sweet, with my tongue detecting both at different times.

Overall this is a great bar, really great in fact. I don’t think Reese’s have ever let me down, just everything they do is superb, and this is no exception. It’s not available in Britain at the moment (unlike the Cups and the Nutrageous) but my god I hope it is soon.

Each bar has 270 calories (120 from fat), 5g Protein, 34g Carbohydrates (29g of which sugars) and 13g Fat (4.5g of which saturates).
