Strawberry Fruittella

Today starts a six day batch edition of fruit flavoured sweets here at The Chocolate Review. Starting today with the Strawberry flavour Fruittella, and then moving on to the other flavours as well as the various Chewits flavours.

Fruittella is always something I overlook in stores, but then when I taste them (usually at my nan’s, she has a thing for them) I wonder why I never buy them, as they really are very good. So whilst that may spoil this review a little with the conclusion…I don’t care.

These come in long, thin packs, filled with individually wrapped chewy sweets. These are similar in texture to the Hi-Chew sweets of Japan. They are made from real fruit juices, and while it may not be much (just 3% in fact) it makes a whole lot of difference.

It may not be totally fair, but comparing these to something like Skittles, there really is…well, no comparison. The taste here is excellent, a mouth-watering strawberry flavour, extremely tasty and if you’re looking for fruit flavoured chews and live in Britain, then these are easily the best I’ve reviewed to date.
