I was trying to think of a funny or just generally interesting way to start this, but I’m really at a loss for how to start here, and so I’ll just describe this. From England is this box of chocolate truffles shaped and marketed as rabbit poo. Why? I have no idea…

They come in a nice little box which has a picture of rabbits dropping what I’m sure are supposed to be their droppings into a giant sack and a ‘splat gun’, whatever that is. The back of the box then has them shooting a farmer with the poo, in what I’m sure is supposed to represent the rabbits getting their own back (as they are commonly shot at by farmers).

They’re sweet little things really, but I just can’t help but feel that people wouldn’t really want to eat them. Perhaps because they’re marketed as…poo. Kids probably like the idea of them, but it’s just an odd way of doing business in my opinion. Anyway, onto the chocolate itself…

In the box is a little plastic bag that has about 12 or so of these chocolate truffles in. They’re shaped sort of like typical cartoon poos, the only thing they’re really missing are the steam lines. And strangely enough…they don’t taste that bad.

Relatively plain tasting, but nice. They also have raisins in which add…nothing, as raisins tend to do. But still, I found them quite pleasant and the box I had was a few months out of date (which is how I got them). So if they were in date they’d no doubt be even better.

So do I recommend them? I guess as a gift to a child under the age of 10 they’d probably like it. Over that and they’d probably think that this is a little weird. Not a bad product, just a bit strange and not to my liking.
