Bassett’s Licorice Allsorts
A childhood favourite of mine right here. Bassett’s Licorice Allsorts are a big bag mixed full of different types, shapes and flavours of licorice, and I hold them in high esteem.
As you can see in the picture there’s quite a few different types, there’s a few others but I couldn’t really fit them in, plus the fabled licorice man who you only get one of in every few packs you buy, he wasn’t in this one…
So what kind of licorice do we have? Well, there’s ones that have a small dot of licorice in the middle, and are then surrounded by thick coconut. These are my personal favourites and started off my love of coconut. There’s also these little blue or pink discs that have an extremely strong aniseed taste to them.
There’s plenty of ordinary licorice here as well, and the problem with that is that after tasting all of RJ’s licorice, this stuff doesn’t match up anymore. It’s still delicious, and there’s a lot of fruity flavours, but in all honesty it’s just not as good.
Still, as I said these are a childhood favourite and I still love them. If you like licorice then I recommend them to you, and look at for the Bassett’s licorice man. The pack is 180g, and per 100g these have 350 calories, 2.3g Protein, 75.5g Carbohydrates and 4.5g Fat.

Each sweet? Bloody hell, no idea I’m afraid, I’ve given the figures per 100g so if you’re particularly neurotic then feel free to weigh each allsort and do the maths to find out how much each contains. I know I won’t be though!

Bassets Licorice Allsorts are my favourite sweets ever !
The best ones are the blue and pink nobbly ones!
I bought a bag from a petrol station near kirkham and was horrified to find there was no pink and blue nobbly ones!
Is there any thing you can do about this please!

You can buy the blue and pink nobbly ones on their own. They’re made by Barratt instead of Bassett’s, but they taste as good to me, and they’re sold as Jelly Spogs.
