Montezuma’s Smooth Milk Chocolate Bar
.jpg)
The second bar I’ve decided to review from Montezuma’s. This is one of the four large bars they sent me, and the only one of them that’s actually milk chocolate.
The bar comes in a green box, where the fact that this bar is organic is made very clear. There is then a message about food of the gods and Montezuma’s aim to ‘brind handmade chocolate to mere mortals’, I’m not quite sure what this has to do with anything but…whatever.
There’s then a whole load of writing on the back, basically the milk comes from organic herds to ensure it’s very creamy. This is a part of their ‘Foundation’ range which is one of their more plain bars, this one is made with cocoa from the Dominican Republic, and the rest is just about their passion and approaches to chocolate making which can be read about on their website.
The bar itself is in a plastic wrapper and looks disturbingly familiar to the bar I had from The Chocolate Trading Co. It tastes very similar too, it’s an ordinary milk chocolate bar, but is incredibly creamy and rich in flavour, and previously I would have said it was unlike anything I had before, except for the bar I had from The Chocolate Trading Co.
In short, it’s amazing. You will never taste milk chocolate of this quality from any big corporation. If you’re a fan of solid milk chocolate bars such as the Dairy Milk, then you will love this. It’s just a much, much better version of those sorts of bars. Highly recommended to any lovers of good quality milk chocolate.
