I won’t bore you with so much detail like I did yesterday. So it’s quick info time! Here’s the Strawberry version of Morinaga’s Hi-Chu.

Same pack as yesterday, except pink this time, with strawberries on the front. No girly theme like the Disney Biscuit Bites either, so I don’t feel almost bad for eating these.

One thing to make note of is that this pack had a sticker with English ingredients on, one of them was ‘Strawberry jam’, perhaps yesterday’s had grape jam in as well? It might explain how they get such a rich flavour…

Are the strawberry ones nicer than the grape ones? Yeah I guess, if you like strawberry more than grape. I don’t really, but let’s not take anything away from these, because they still taste great. They’re not quite as strong as the grape ones, but they’re still delicious.

I recommend either one if you like either fruit, a rich flavour with nothing unpleasant going on. The nutritional values for this are the same – 230 calories, 0.9g Protein, 47.1g Carbohydrates and 4.3g Fat per pack.

i’m heartbroken about these sweets! i’m vegetarian, with an “if i don’t know what’s in it, i can still eat it” ethos. i had no name to put to these before, they were my occasional treat (i live round the corner from a japanese supermarket). hence, i didn’t realize they had gelatin in them until now…
