Lotte Chocolate Koala no March

I promised I’d review these today and the promise has been kept. Here’s the chocolate flavoured Koala no March, again from Lotte of Japan.
This is the last flavour I’ll be reviewing of these for a good while, as I’m not even sure there are any other flavours around (except for the cheesecake one). I’ve saved the original for last, though whether they’re the best remains to be seen.
The box is again the same deal, hexagonal shape and surprisingly not a brown theme, but a regular jungle theme to match with the koala’s natural environment. This definitely shows that these are the original flavour then, or so it would seem.
Again there is a foil wrapped packet inside the box, full of the koala shaped biscuits. They are filled with a chocolate flavoured cream, and when I say full…I really mean full. These are stuffed with chocolate cream, and it makes them extremely flavour filled and filling to eat.
Like the strawberry flavour, the chocolate here isn’t 100% authentic, it tastes just a little bit off from regular chocolate, though it’s quite rich and still very good. Maybe it was just my box but I was a little taken aback at how much chocolate was actually in these, especially compared to yesterdays.
I definitely recommend these as well, like with the strawberry flavour, the Koala no March biscuits are well known for a reason. They’re not amazing by any standards, but considering some of the things I’ve tried from Japan, this is much more appealing to a regular Westerner’s taste.
