As you can tell from my other Skittles reviews, I’m not a big fan of them. I just don’t find them that tasty really, though when I was sent these by Sera from CandyAddict, she told me that she didn’t like Skittles much either, and yet still loved these.

I’ll admit I was still sceptical though. The pack looks great, with bright yellow colours and carnival themed items (rollercoasters, circus tents, etc) on the front of the pack. The flavours sound odd though - Candy Apple, Cotton Candy, Red Licorice, Bubble Gum and Green Slushy. Very American sounding, and not flavours I’m too familiar with.

The smells from the packet are very sweet and sticky smelling. There’s a real mix there and they actually smell quite nice, let’s move onto individual reviews though.

Candy Apple - A very sweet and ever so slightly apple flavour. I’m really struggling to compare this to something, but it’s a little like ice cream, only sweeter. A very nice flavour.

Cotton Candy - I don’t remember normal cotton candy tasting like these. It actually tastes liek bubble gum but I did check a few times and I was definitely eating the cotton candy flavour. Strange one…

Red Licorice - A very strong flavour, though it’s not anything like the actual red licorice I’ve tried before. Not very licorice tasting at all, more just a weird strong flavour that I’m not familiar with.

Bubble Gum - Much more bubble gum tasting than the Cotton Candy flavour, though they do taste similar. It does taste pretty authentic, though bubble gum isn’t exactly a hard flavour to replicate.

Green Slushy - An odd sounding, and odd tasting flavour. It doesn’t taste like apple, but it’s quite sour and just…weird. I honestly just don’t know what this flavour is, I don’t really like it though.

Eaten all together, it’s the bubble gum that seems to come out more than the other flavours, but they still taste quite nice together. Overall though, these were a bit of a disappointment. This is a real American candy snack, and sadly it doesn’t cross the ocean too well. These won’t be brought over to Britain and I’m not surprised by that.

Awwhh! Sorry to hear they didn’t live up to the praise I gave them!
