Yeeeaaah, it’s the craaaazy sours Skittles! I’m sure these just used to be called Sour Skittles, but no it seems these somehow got crazy at somepoint. Anyway I remember these things being pretty tasty when I last had them, so I’m looking forward to having them again. The clue is in the title with what these are, they’re like regular Skittles…only sour, and…crazy.

There’s 5 flavours as you can see in the picture, but for some reason they don’t list what these flavours are, but instead they have pictures of the fruits next to the colours, so I may actually be wrong with one of these which would be a bit embarassing, let’s hope not though.

Green – Unsurprisingly this is apple flavour. Sadly the taste is weak. Like when I literally bit into this absolutely no flavour came out for a few seconds, before the apple flavour sort of crept out when rolled over my tongue. Weak and not sour at all.

Yellow – I actually couldn’t get which flavour this was until I checked the pack. It’s pineapple flavour, not lemon as I was hoping. As far as pineapple goes it’s not bad, again not exactly sour, but it has more taste than the apple at least.

Orange – Weirdest orange I’ve ever had. Seriously how hard is it to manufacture an orange flavour? This hasn’t been done well at all, it’s just so weird. Still it’s not terrible, and again full of flavour, just an odd one.

Purple – This appears to be cherry flavour, and this far is easily the best. I’m fond of cherries and cherry flavoured stuff anyway, so that helps. Quite artificial but still really good, more sour than the others and definitely my favourite so far.

Pink – This appears to be raspberry flavour. Not the best of the pack, but not too bad either. Like orange it’s a little bit odd, but it’s tasty enough.

All 5 eaten at once creates a quite pleasant taste, with no one flavour winning hands down, though I couldn’t taste any apple there at all.

Overall these are pretty disappointing, I remember really liking these when they first came out a few years ago, but now they’re disappointing. Artificial flavours, not very sour at all, and certainly not crazy in anyway. Obviously marketed towards kids and there’s nothing wrong with that, but not really to my taste anymore.

Each pack weighs 55g, but the nutritional information is per 100g, so per pack these figures will be about halved. Again, per 100g these have 388 calories, 0g Protein, 87.4g Carbohydrates and 4.2g Fat.
