Lofthouse’s Original Extra Strong Fisherman’s Friend
These sweets don’t mess around. These will kick your ass hard, and they warn you on the front. ‘Original extra song’, a picture of a big ship, the ingredients ‘menthol’ and ‘eucalyptus’. I’m not a fisherman, so I wonder if I’m manly enough for these.
Like any sweet company with a long history, Fisherman’s Friend like showing off about it. Originally created in 1865 for fishermen working in extreme conditions in the Icelandic deep-sea fishing grounds, they’re now consumed in over 100 countries and come in many other flavours, though the only I could find was the original.
In the pack you get 20 of these lozenges, they come in thin, brown small tablet form, and are slightly coated in a white powder. There’s no markings on the tablets, no emblems or engravings, just the brown tablets daring you to eat them.
Boy do these things freshen you up. I couldn’t leave them on my tongue due to the burning sensation, but they turned my mouth icy cold and fresh, every breath I took was an icy breeze, the nose clearing power of the menthol and fresh flavour of eucalyptus, lovely stuff.
Well they fulfill their promises, these are the original flavour, and they’re extra strong. What more could I ask for? I’m no fisherman, but I have the awesome breath of one. Anyone want a kiss? …Anyone?

No, it was the marijuana that made me a bit high…just kidding of course, I’m not into that stuff. They were originally made for fishermen so you weren’t too far off.
