Bobby’s Turkish Delight Bar

August 24th, 2007 by Terry

Now here’s an old post, this was the first thing I took a picture with using my webcam, which I got months ago. So enjoy this old review, with this Turkish Delight bar, from Bobby’s.

Bobby’s are a small confectionery manufacturing company who sell their stuff independently to small shops. Because of this they’re not very well known, but if you go into any normal corner shop, you’ll have a good chance of seeing some of their stuff. I’m quite fond of Turkish Delight normally, so I thought this would be a safe place to start for me.

It’s a large bar, weighing in at 100g, which is over twice as much as a standard chocolate bar. There are 10 breakable pieces, each filled with Turkish Delight. It’s the usual rose-scented stuff, and there’s nothing much more to it.

The chocolate is a bit cheap, as expected. It doesn’t really melt in the mouth, it just sort of…clumps, it wasn’t very good. The Turkish Delight was alright as well, but nothing spectacular at all. There are only a few Turkish Delight bars on the market, but suffice it to say Cadbury’s version is better.

But still, this was pretty cheap, and I wouldn’t mind buying it again. It had 440 calories, 2.4g of Protein, 66.7g of Carbohydrates and 18.2g of Fat. All for a delicious 59p.
