Nestlé Cappuccino Kit Kat
I saw this yesterday whilst doing some shopping in Asda and thought that it was a pretty odd flavour for Nestlé to bring out. Cappuccino flavoured Kit Kat? This is Britain, we only ever get caramel flavour and hazelnut flavoured chocolate bars, and now all of a sudden we have Cappuccino? Well at £1 for a 10 pack of these I’m hardly complaining, though the odds of these actually being good seem a bit slim.
These only come in the small, 2 finger Kit Kats, and not in the 4 finger versions or the Kit Kat Chunky forms at all. The packaging is basic Kit Kat stuff, with a picture of a cup of cappuccino on the front, and you can smell it quite strongly before the wrapper is opened. Strangely though the smell gets less powerful when the wrapped is opened, when you’re able to smell the chocolate as well.
I said earlier that the odds of these being good were slim, well…for any of you who like betting long shots, you win! These are surprisingly very good. There’s a definite difference between cappuccino flavour and coffee flavour, and these are most definitely cappuccino. They’re very creamy with a delicate coffee taste, nothing bitter about them at all. They’re not too sweet either, just perfect really. This seems like a flavour that Nestlé have taken their time over, in order to get the balance just right, and I think it’s really paid off for them.
Bear in mind that I’m not much of a coffee lover, I don’t mind instant coffee, but the stuff that’s ground up and filtered is way too strong for my liking, so this got me perfectly. I can understand that some people might find this too sweet or creamy, or not strong enough in the coffee taste for their liking, but remember, it’s cappuccino flavour, not 5 star Colombian ground roasted coffee flavour.
So I definitely recommend these to people who like coffee and aren’t afraid of trying something a little different. Like with the peanut butter Kit Kats, Nestlé have gone off the beaten track a little, but I’m sure I’m not the only person who’s tired of milk chocolate and caramel, and things like this will hopefully be around for a long time.
Nestlé are also very proud of the fact that these bars only have 107 calories, and 5.6g Fat, so a good little snack right here.

I love chocolates of all kind. In Britain the choice of bars is a bit limited.

I have always enjoyed KitKat’s and always will but these are something else. I have only seen them on sale at Asda….why!!! I do not like the Dark Kit Kat, some of the other flavors are OK, but Cappuccino are so lovely. My Wife has just been to Asda and they did not have any, Shame.
