Mars Milky Way
I should really do some research before I post some things, as I said a few days ago that the Flyte was Mars’ version of a Milky Way, without realising that the Milky Way is also made…by Mars…so a mistake on my part there.
The Milky Way comes in a space-like wrapper, with a cute little alien on the front, and they seem to be marketed towards young children as well, though that’s not to say that these have been loaded with sugar or anything to appeal to a child’s taste, as it seems they haven’t (either that or I have childlike tastebuds, which would explain a lot).
The Milky Way is milk chocolate (14%) covering a whipped white centre (61%). The whipped centre is a bit milky, as opposed to the slight chocolatey flavour of the Flyte, and it makes all the difference with the bar.
So as opposed to being a pretty bad tasting faux-chocolate, it instead tastes light, milky and chocolatey. I really like these because of how light they are, they’re extremely tasty without being too rich in flavour or too sweet, and they’re perfect for a small chocolate snack.
The bar I had was 26g, so was pretty small, it had 118 calories, 0.9g Protein, 18.7g Carbohydrates and 4.4g Fat. Double that of course for the Milky Way Duo bars that are also on the market.

Technically the Flyte is the original chocolate bar called ‘Milky Way’, but under another name. When the Milky Way, a bar always aimed more at Children than Adults, was changed to contain a White Chocolate whipped centre, the original ‘Milky Way’ became a Flyte bar.
