Mars Planets

The latest edition from Mars are these Revels-esque chocolate balls; Mars Planets. Basically this is a small single serving 37g bag filled with three varieties of chocolate spheres - Soft, Crispy and Chewy.

Soft are the biggest of the three, and can actually be told apart from the others. They seem to contain the nougat that you would usually find in a Mars bar, and are pretty decent tasting, very similar to a Mars bar, just without the caramel.

Crispy is the stuff you get in a Mars Delight, the crispy wafer stuff that they have. These don’t really taste like Mars Delights, they just taste a little weird, not bad, just strange.

And the Chewy ones contain caramel. The caramel here is a little thicker than normal, or at least it seems to be because it’s own its own.

Overall these things are ok, but not something I’d bother with again. I can’t see them staying around too long, at least in their current form, because there doesn’t seem to be enough there to keep people interested. But there’s nothing saying they’re limited edition, so I could very well be wrong.

Each pack has 178 calories, 1.8g of Protein, 24.2g of Carbohydrates and 8.3g of Fat, so they’re lower in calories than both a Mars Bar and a Mars Delight, separately of course.
