They are made with slave plantation cocoa, like the majority of chocolate in America. This goes a long way (in my opinion) to explaining why most American bars (besides the fact that the cows are treated like crap that supply any milk for the chocolate) taste like dirt compared to Belgian, Swiss or French chocolate.
